Dear friends in PAG,

We are all too often inundated with scam e-mails purporting to be from a friend or colleague requesting urgent financial assistance, but I am writing to warn you that FIGIJ has been affected (as has EURAPAG) and that you may receive such messages which are becoming increasingly sophisticated. E mails are even being sent on behalf of PAG colleagues who have departed this life (please disregard anything from the fake email account [email protected] – this is a scammer account not modified by our leadership team). These messages know no international boundaries.

Close scrutiny should reveal that the message is a scam before opening the e mail, but I would want to stress that you will NEVER be approached in this way by FIGIJ for financial help, you MUST delete any such approaches and certainly NOT respond as your personal and financial security is at risk.

There is sadly plenty of criminal activity which risks us all, especially at these challenging times. Please remain vigilant and cautious.

With my very best wishes,

Paul Wood
President of FIGIJ
